Biography

After his bachelor on the classical guitar, Jasper Bärtling-Lippina, born in Aachen, decided to dedicate his life to historical performance practices and the early plucked instruments of the baroque guitar, theorbo, Renaissance lute and baroque lute. He began a year of preparation for the Master of Music at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where he received his Master's degree in 2019 in the lute class of Joachim Held and Mike Fentross. In 2021, Jasper finished his Concert Musicus Diploma with Xavier Diaz-Latorre at the Royal Conservatoire of Brussels.

Jasper lives in Brussels and performs regularly
throughout Europe. Highlights have been projects with at the Versailles Academy in Prague under the direction of Alexis Kossenko, Jana Semerádová, Lenka Torgersen and Benoit Dratwicki, a tour with the European Hanse Ensemble under the direction of Manfred Cordes, a concert with Minho Jeong at the Wonderfeel festival in the Netherlands, concerts
at Huygens Hofwijk, the performance of the contemporary opera "la Tragidia di Claudio M"
under the artistic direction of Johannes Boer, and various projects with, among others,
Gabriel Garrido, Michael Chance, Sebastien Marq, Pascal Bertin, Mike Fentross. With the ensembles "Il Segreto Delle Muse", "Vanarella" and "l'Olivastro", Jasper works regularly in the field of historical performance practices of the Seconda Pratica and 16th century Italian music.

In Summer 2023 his ensemble „Il Segreto Delle Muse“ will release an Album in collaboration with Gabriel Garrido, containing music by Barbara Strozzi.
